Motoki Kajisaki’s first art book (title forthcoming) will be published on July 5, 2025.Everyday life is a delicate equilibrium woven from countless fleeting moments—moments upon which we stand, mostly unaware. For Kajisaki, the act of creating is nothing less than a process of giving names to those nameless instants.This book brings that theme into focus. Beginning with music and extending across media—painting, graphic design, apparel—it gathers diverse works and reconstructs them within the bounded space of the printed page, allowing them to coalesce as a single, unified piece.

Sound, words, images, and photographs—when these distinct languages converge upon the stillness of the page, “reading” becomes something more than the movement of the eye.As one traces each page accompanied by music, words and images take on meaning, echoing and responding to one another, gradually forming shape. The rustle of turning pages, the drift of one’s gaze, the silence born in thought—all come together to create an experience akin to musical performance, one composed and played by the reader.In other words, this is a music that begins with reading. Reading becomes a quiet journey to seek out where sound resides. Through the reader’s body—through memory, emotion, and concept—sound gradually begins to take form.And in that moment, what emerges is the most intimate, and at once the most elusive of themes: the everyday.This work has been quietly woven together to gently offer the subtle presence that breathes within those endlessly vanishing moments.
